Youth Internship Available



To be considered for the internship program, applicants must meet the following minimum
criteria:
1. Academic Standing:
o Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university/ community college

o Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
2. Field of Study:
o Major or demonstrated interest in one or more of the following areas:

  • Public Policy
  • Public Health
  • Government or Political Science
  • Sociology
  • Community Development
  • Economics
  • Health Administration
  • Other related disciplines

3. Community and Leadership Experience:

  • Evidence of engagement in community service, volunteer work, or

leadership in campus or civic organizations within the past 2 years

4. Essay Requirement:
o A 500-word personal statement describing:

  • The applicant’s specific interest in public policy and/or public health.
  • How the internship aligns with their academic and career goals.
  • Any personal or community experiences that have influenced their
  • interest in this field.


5. Recommendations:

  • One faculty or professional recommendation

6. Availability:

  • Ability to commit to the full internship period ( 8 weeks during the summer).
